AURE, G; LARES, M; OBREGON, O y BRITO. EVALUACIÓN DE MOLÉCULA-1 DE ADHESIÓN VASCULAR COMO INDICADOR DE ACTIVACIÓN ENDOTELIAL EN PREECLAMPSIA EN LA SEMANA 20 DE GESTACIÓN . RFM [online]. 2005, vol.28, n.2, pp.162-169. ISSN 0798-0469.
Problem: To demonstrate the levels of Vcam-1 as an expression of endothelial activation in women with risk of preeclampsia. Objective: To demonstrate the presence of vascular adhesion molecules (VCAM-1) as marker of endotelial activation in women with risk of preeclampsia, when they compare with women without risk in week 20 of gestation, indicating the existence of an inflammatory process as consequence of an inadequate implantation. Method investigation oriented towards the "present", corresponds to the type of "actual" study with "experimental" strategy, of independent group, with a level depth level of knowledge to investigate "explanatory". Two groups are used: "Control" and "Experimental", which included 16 women with risk of preeclampsia, and 9 without risk, were studied the levels of VCAM-1, in the 20 week. The Statistical procedure was determined by Experimental design put in practice, and the evaluation takes place by means of the Statistical "t" of Student, applied to find if there is or non significant differences between the values obtained for the 20 weeks of gestation and between the Experimental and Control groups to the same number of weeks. Result: VCAM-1 appears high in week 20 of gestation in the group with risk. Conclusion: VCAM-1 express activation in week 20 of gestation in women with risk of preeclampsia.
