The methodology employed is guided by the complexity paradigm: quantitative, qualitative and dialectic moments about basis of the field investigation that was carried out in the José Ignacio Baldó Hospital Caracas, Venezuela, from which the final results indicated that 90 % of the studied cases corresponded to tobacco induced lung cancer, 88.6 % presented chronic obstructive lung disease and 95 % of the patients at the time of the diagnosis presented a progressed and advanced disease.
