ANTONETTI, Carmen y DE BARROS, Obdilia. Variaciones de origen, número y distribución de las arterias suprarrenales inferiores y medias. RFM [online]. 2006, vol.29, n.1, pp.44-48. ISSN 0798-0469.
The arterial irrigation is vital for the survival of any tissue, and with the development of surgery, it becomes imperative not only know the pattern of arterial distribution described in the classic anatomy, but also the variations that can originate and that they should be kept in mind so much in exams as are the arteriographies, as well as during the surgery. So the curiosity arises to investigate the multiplicity of existent variations, in our case, of the inferior suprarenal arteries and for that which we accumulate a casuistic of 82 regions, distributed among human fetuses (78 regions) of 20 to 40 weeks of age gestacional, and human cadavers (4 regions), all previously fixed in solution of 10% formaldehyde. The results are: inferior suprarenal branch coming out the renal artery (41.37 %), inferior suprarenal branch arising front an accessory renal artery (13.16 %), inferior suprarenal artery accompanied by the medial suprarenal artery (9.52 %), medial suprarenal artery in absence of the inferior suprarenal artery (40.48 %) and a case in which the medial suprarenal artery gave a branch to the superior pole of kidney (5.88 %). The absence of both inferior and medial suprarenal arteries in the region was observed in 4.76 %. We can conclude that the normal anatomy that we know, is only a guides for the surgeon.
