Abstract
RODRIGUEZ, Alexis et al. Estudio radiológico de la alineación y orientación de la articulación radiocarpiana en una muestra de la población venezolana. RFM [online]. 2006, vol.29, n.1, pp.54-59. ISSN 0798-0469.
To 50 volunteers, ages between 18 and 40 years, who belong to population of Guarenas-Guatire, without congenital anomalies, muscle-skeletal pathologies, fractures and previous upper limbs surgeries, realized radiographs of both wrists in their anteroposterior and lateral projections. It proceed to compare the obtained measures of radial tilt, radial Length, ulnar variance, palmar tilt with standardized values of international literatures, showing that in the studied population radial tilt is larger (P= 0.0045) and the palmar tilt is smaller (P< 0.0001), while radial altitude and ulnar variance have not statistically significant results. Also, It compare radiographic parameters between men and women of study population showing that radial altitude in men is larger than women (P< 0.0001). Comparison between left and right wrists according to sex shows no statistically differences. Study looks to gives the appropriate importance to the alienation and orientation criterions of wrist articulation and to bring values of a Venezuelan population that helps of reference.
Keywords : Radial tilt; Radial llength; ulnar variante; Palmar tilt; Radiographic parameters of radiocarpal joint.
