The Anatomopathologic Institute "Dr. José Antonio ӒDaly "(IAP) will celebrate in June of the present year, 50 years of operation like integral organism in asístanse (biopsies, cytologies and autopsies), teaching of pre and postgraduates and research. In its physical building the Immunology Institute founded and directed by Dr. Nicolas Bianco and the classrooms of Anatomic Pathology whose chief is Dr. Pedro Michelli Gago also function The professors that have contributed to its development constitute three generations of pathologists who were the continuing pioneers and of work of the founde, Dr. Jose Antonio ÓDaly Seraille and of the co-founders: Dres: Luís Manuel Carbonell, Alberto Angulo Ortega, Rudolf Jaffé, Armando Domínguez and Maria Rivas Roz (the first woman pathologist in Venezuela), in between others. There 9 have been directors being the Dr. Ghislaine Céspedes, the first woman to occupy this position as of this year. The IAP is is the only "Nacional Center Referrery in Pathology" that consists of specialized sections of pathology. Since 1959 it grants in its property postgraduate courses and its disciples are scattered throughout the nacional territory.
