The Documentation Center “Dr. Jose Angel Puchi Ferrer” was created by the aim to promote and spread the advance reached in the intellectual production (Special Works of Investigation, Works of Degree and Doctoral Theses) of the courses of post grade of the Medicine Faculty at the Central University of Venezuela. This information unit was designed to work in the network of medical information specialized in the national and international area. Its recent denomination is due to that the “Dr. Jose Angel Puchi Ferrer” is a personage who has marked the history and development of the studies of post grade of this University and for his inexhaustible labor of promoting the investigation and intellectual production in the postdegrees of the Central University of Venezuela. In this text it is described the evolution and current state of the Documentation Center.
