A disease that quickly decimates livestock in the state of Falcon is known as the cry of the goat. Sheep and goats are the most responsive among animals of breed. The designation stems from the peculiar bellow produced by a strong colic in an infected goat. Description is made of the course and evolution of the sickness, the objective symptoms of the different forms and of death. Superacute forms of pasteurellosis in bovines, sheep and goats may be mistaken with the apoplectiform of anthrax. We point out the differences between these two and with septicemic hemmorhage. Studied cases of animal and human infections are also described. In a final note, Anthrax in Caracas is related, October 1906.
