50 cases of epithelial carcinoma of ovary treated by the author are analyzed, the importance of early diagnostic and correct surgical is emphasized as the only way to obtaining adequate treatment of these patients, and not catalogue a patient how stage I which corresponded a stage IV who for bad surgical exploration is under treating because a faulty diagnosis. The concept of interval surgery as well as second look operations is analyzed and, their results commented. The importance of the treatment with chemotherapy is emphasized and the ways of administration either systemic or intraperitoneal alone or with hyperthermia are discussed and their advantages analyzed. The conclusion is reached that radical surgery practiced by a well trained gynecologist oncologist or by an oncologycal surgeon followed by chemotherapy are at present the right way of treating an epithelial carcinoma of the ovary.
