OBJECTIVE: These are prospective work evaluate therapeutic response of basal cell cancer of skin with using fotodinamic therapy. METHODS: Analyzed therapeutic effect, method used, late effect, results of treatment, variables more common in relation with treatment and apparition of local recurrence. Included patients with basal cell carcinoma of the skin with histological diagnosis, unique or multiple available to surgical treatments selected without discrimination of age, sex and lesion locations, who were injections with Radachlorin doses 1 mg/kg after waiting for 1 to 2 hours a red light illumination was performed doses of 100-500 J/cm2 with Laser Diodo ML-SP662. Controlled therapeutic effect a) During the first minutes b)after 6 hours c) To 24 hours d) To 148 hours e) To the first week f) Weekly to 8 weeks g) Trimester for 2 years. h) Finally semester. RESULTS: We treat 106 lesions in 23 patients no side effects were reported, all the lesions responded to the treatment without evidence of tumours clinical and histological corroborated, 1 actinic queratoses do not response and in 1 bulky basocelular carcinoma obtained a partial responses completed with new treatment. In 1 cases of lesion in the inferior right eyelid the treatment were inadequate for poor patient tolerance with local anaesthesia we repeat the treatment with general anaesthesia with good results and disappear of the lesion verify histopathological. CONCLUSIONS: The patients do not presented complications to the treatment and they are in control without evidence of oncology disease.
