OBJECTIVES: The cancer of vulva is fundamentally a disease of women in age outpost, but it has been observed in premenopausic women. It is generally the escamosus type carcinoma the most common, although other types can be appearing. The surgery is the gold standar and includes big exegesis, partial and simple and radical vulvectomy, (these last with femoral inguinal evacuating), and pelvic exenterating surgery. The radiotherapy and the polichemotherapy are generally adjuvant treatment. METHODS: This is a retrospective, descriptive type of investigation with studies of distribution of frequency. The universe in study is 36 patients entered to the service of gynecology oncology of the Institute of Oncology. Dr. Miguel Perez Carreño of the city of Valencia, Venezuela, between the ages of 1995 and 2006, and with diagnostic of infiltrated neoplasia of vulva. RESULTS: From the totality of the evaluated patients it was obtained that the greater incidence of this pathology was found between 71 age and greater patients with 36.11 % the most common histology was escamosus carcinoma. More of 75 % of the patients were in advanced stages. The most common treatment was radical vulvectomy with a 63.8 %. CONCLUSION: On the basis of the collected data it is suggested to manage improvements in the of search of early stages, this way let us avoid an aggressive surgery which they repel in an increase of the morbimortality in this group of patients, and to find one better quality of life.
