Abstract

In the decade of 80 years the development of mammographic techniques and campaigns of search gave as result in identification of occult breast lesions, being developed different techniques from localization for resection and the histological verification of suspicious lesions. 266 patients treated between the years 2000 and 2007, with age average of 50.86 years, (59.40 %) postmenopausal women. All was put under different techniques from localization having biopsies with needle type hook wire with a 72.93 %. Maligns lesions 28.20 %, the premalings lesions 15.07 % and the images more frequently were the micro calcifications and compound images. Of the histological point of view maligns lesions were infiltrative type, aspects similar to the described in the literature. The percentage of post operated complications ascended to a 10.15 %, being most frequent serum and hematoma. The percentage of rescissions was of 30.67 %, had mainly to critical or insufficient margins.
