The international path of the nutritionist Jose Maria Bengoa is followed here reporting the main priorities of UN organisations in tackling the issues of human malnutrition in the years from 1950 to 1975. This work is in honour of many of the pioneers in nutrition of the early years of international organisations quoting their more outstanding contributions. There remains to ponder on why the condition of hunger and malnutrition in the world has not improved to this date despite so much dedication.
