Introduction: Catheter-associated urinary tract infection is one of the main infections in health care. Objective: to carry out a bibliographic review on strategies for preventing urinary tract infections and from this review to prepare a training proposal for the nursing area. Conclusions: The information analyzed is part of a training proposal aimed at nursing staff to guarantee quality and safety in patient care.
