The present study addresses intimate partner violence and traumatic bonding in young university adults, with the aim of determining the relationship between these variables. A quantitative and correlational study was conducted using validated questionnaires applied to 519 participants. The results revealed a significant association between intimate partner violence and Stockholm syndrome. It is concluded that it is crucial to implement prevention strategies in academic environments to foster healthy relationships and avoid the perpetuation of violence.
