This research seeks to identify the opportunities to develop skills in the learning cores: exploration of the natural environment and mathematical thinking in the pedagogical programs of kindergarten education in Chile. For this purpose, a content analysis of the curricular documents of the first and second level of transition, elaborated by the Ministry of Education, is carried out. The results show that the analyzed cores promote an integral approach, a combination of skills, involving cognitive, motor, emotional and social aspects.
