This study elaborates a Balanced Score Card (BSC) to evaluate the innovation and engagement at the National Polytechnic School (EPN), one of the best Ecuadorian public universities. Three data collection tools were used: unstructured interviews, document review, and direct observation. The results revealed that the innovation at EPN is influenced by external stimuli and internal dynamic tensions, information that allowed the design of a BSC aligned to EPN's vision.
