This study analyzes the current status of agile methodology adoption in software development projects in Region 7 of Ecuador. Through surveys applied to companies, challenges, opportunities, and impact were identified, with Scrum being the most widely used. The results obtained demonstrate the relevance of these methodologies; therefore, it is recommended to invest in training and adaptive processes to leverage their benefits, driving economic and technological growth in the region.
