This research addresses the skills associated with project work, present in the Natural Science textbooks for seventh and eighth year of Chilean Basic Education. The qualitative method is used with a descriptive approach. It was observed that the texts state an important set of activities and skills associated with project work, such as planning, investigating and executing, although the communication of results is less frequent. No significant differences were found between seventh and eighth grade.
