Abstract

This study analyzes the pedagogical models applied in the teaching of traditional plucked string instruments in the provinces of Vélez, Guanentá, and Comunera in Santander, Colombia. Using a mixed-methods approach and a descriptive design, data were collected through surveys and interviews with music teachers. The results reveal the predominant pedagogical strategies and their impact on students' musical education. It is concluded that the implementation of pedagogical models adapted to local characteristics significantly improves teaching.
