This paper is a summary of the research carried out by the RESPONDER research group, which sought, based on the diagnosis, to promote gender equity and sexual and reproductive rights at the Reynaldo Orduz Arenas School in Bucaramanga, Colombia, in a context marked by patriarchal structures that perpetuate violence and gender discrimination. Through educational workshops, using participatory tools such as music, theatre, dance and sociodramas, the aim was to raise students' awareness on these issues, addressing the lack of sexual education and the normalisation of violence. Thus, this work proposed, as a first step, the identification of discrimination factors that affect girls, secondly, the recognition of gender stereotypes in boys, and, after the workshops were developed, to evaluate their effectiveness. In its research development, qualitative methodology was used, with pedagogical diaries to document the impact of the sessions. The results indicate that, although stereotypes persist, the workshops fostered more equitable attitudes and improved school coexistence. Seven workshops were designed to address topics such as self-esteem and respect, providing a space for dialogue and reflection. The research highlights the need to integrate these topics into the school curriculum to ensure sustained change, suggesting the continued implementation of workshops as an effective strategy to advance gender equity and respect for sexual and reproductive rights.
