Resumen
SANDOVAL, Cristina A y BONALES, Joel. Determinant factors of transaction costs in the internationalization of agricultural SMEs in Jalisco, Guanajuato, and Michoacán: A study with analysis of variance (ANOVA). Espacios [online]. 2025, vol.46, n.2, pp.315-327. Epub 16-Mayo-2025. ISSN 0798-1015. https://doi.org/10.48082/espacios-a25v46n02p24.
This study analyzes the internationalization of agricultural SMEs in Jalisco, Guanajuato, and Michoacán, applying Transaction Cost Theory (TCT). Factors such as asset specificity, external uncertainty, internal control, and collective efficiency were evaluated. The results show that asset specificity and external uncertainty have a significant impact on internationalization, favoring hierarchical entry modes. TCT suggests that controlling these factors reduces transaction costs, facilitating international expansion.
