The aim of this research was to design and validate an instrument to measure anxiety towards mathematics in general university students. An 18-item Likert-type questionnaire was developed, assessing evidence of validity through expert and exploratory factor analysis (EFA) in a sample of 210 students. The results revealed three factors explaining 60% of the total variance, with high reliability (> 0.862), providing a valid and reliable tool for future research.
