The study analyzed the incorporation of accident prevention measures in road infrastructure design. Through a systematic review of Scopus, Scielo, and Dialnet, 31 relevant articles were selected. Findings highlight that adequate lighting, efficient signage, and geospatial technologies significantly reduce accident rates. Moreover, innovative materials and optimized management enhance both safety and sustainability. The study concludes that integrating advanced technologies and public policies is essential for developing safe, accessible, and sustainable road infrastructure.
