This study aims to analyze the evaluation instruments designed by mathematics teachers for the teaching-learning process of the first derivative in secondary education, using the criteria of epistemic suitability. For this purpose, a content analysis of these instruments is carried out. In general, the results show high epistemic suitability, since elements of the component criteria are presented: meanings, connections and processes. We suggest addressing the missing elements to relate the different meanings of the first derivative.
