Abstract

This research explores the perceptions of parents and guardians of kindergarten students regarding the purpose of early childhood education. The study, quantitative and descriptive type, involved the application of a Likert-style questionnaire to 120 participants with children enrolled in kindergarten across three districts in central Chile. The findings indicate a strong agreement among both groups that the family serves as the first educator and that educational institutions play a key role in fostering children’s identity.
