Resumen
TALAMANTES CASTORENA, Ismael et al. Use and perception of artificial intelligence in the agricultural faculties of the Autonomous University of Sinaloa. Espacios [online]. 2025, vol.46, n.6, pp.87-98. Epub 30-Ene-2026. ISSN 0798-1015. https://doi.org/10.48082/espacios-a25v46n06p08.
This study describes AI use and perceptions among students from three agricultural faculties using a quantitative, cross-sectional, non-experimental design (n=820), a 30-item Likert questionnaire (α=0.797), and Spearman correlations. Seven out of ten students use AI, mainly ChatGPT (56.16%). Reported benefits include time savings (31.96%), improved retention (27.17%), and personalization (22.61%). Perceived effectiveness is associated with grade average (ρ=0.713) and AI-attributed grade improvement (ρ=0.708). Overall, 79.86% lack training. Curricular integration, ethics-focused training, and institutional guidelines are recommended.
