The objective of this study is to determine the effect of creative potential on employees' innovative performance. The research, with a quantitative and non-experimental approach, applied structural equation modeling to a sample of 303 employees from MSMEs in Imbabura, Ecuador. The results suggest that creative potential has a positive and significant effect, being a key predictor of innovative performance. The study contributes to the understanding of these factors.
