This article analyzes the inequality in the budget distribution for basic general education in Ecuador and its impact on educational quality. Through a documentary review, a marked inequity in the allocation of resources between urban and rural areas, as well as between different provinces, is evidenced. This disparity translates into gaps in infrastructure, pedagogical resources, and administrative management capacity, perpetuating a cycle of inequality that affects the learning opportunities of thousands of students and limits national development.
