A systematic review was conducted to analyze the relationship between public policies and the development of Peruvian municipalities. Using the PRISMA methodology, a total of 20 research articles published between 2014 and 2024 were selected. The results indicate that the implementation of public policies contributes to the social, economic, and urban development of Peruvian municipalities. The conclusions provide a basis for future research aimed at strengthening local public policies.
