Resumen
OCHOA-URREGO, Rafael L.. Sociotechnical Networks in Teachers’ Technological Appropriation: An Analysis from Actor-Network Theory. Espacios [online]. 2026, vol.47, n.1, pp.80-92. Epub 28-Feb-2026. ISSN 0798-1015. https://doi.org/10.48082/espacios-6v47n01i07.
This qualitative study analyzes the sociotechnical configurations shaping university teachers’ appropriation of digital technologies, drawing on Actor-Network Theory and domestication studies. Based on interviews and thematic coding, six typologies of networks are identified, involving both human and non-human actors. Findings reveal that technological appropriation is not a personal or binary decision, but rather a relational assemblage where agency is distributed across individuals, tools, and institutional structures, highlighting complex dynamics of mediation in teaching practices.
