This study aimed to design and validate an instrument to analyze teachers’ conceptions and practices regarding mathematical modeling (COPADMM). Content validity was established through expert judgment and the Content Validity Coefficient. Exploratory and confirmatory factor analyses were conducted. Results revealed four factors with good fit indices (CFI=0.96; RMSEA=0.058) and high reliability (α=0.91; Ω=0.91). It is concluded that the instrument is valid and reliable for assessing teachers’ conceptions and practices in mathematical modeling.
