The current state of social responsibility (SR) implementation in Peruvian higher education institutions was analyzed using specialized literature from 2015 to 2025. A systematic review was conducted using SciELO, Scopus, and Latindex Catalog 2.0, selecting 28 articles. The findings highlight concerns about SR implementation, emphasizing cross-cutting management and the role of faculty. The study concludes that SR in Peru is a legal obligation that is not being fulfilled and is hampered by a limited budget.
