This study analyzes public health policies addressing the exacerbation of clinical risk factors for type 2 diabetes through a bibliographic review of literature published between 2015 and 2025. Twenty-six articles identify deficiencies in infrastructure, human resources, coverage, and intersectoral management that exacerbate social inequalities and limit the effectiveness of interventions. It concludes that strengthening preventive policies, designing inclusive models, and considering social determinants are essential to reducing the burden of the disease.
