This study evaluated social performance management in nine Tier 1 Ecuadorian cooperatives (2023) using the SPI4 tool. While formal goal-setting and human talent management show significant progress, critical gaps persist in governance and member protection. Findings reveal a "mission drift": pressure for solvency and liquidity displaces cooperative identity toward traditional banking models. The study concludes that sector sustainability requires integrating verifiable social metrics into governance and managerial incentive systems to mitigate this institutional isomorphism.
