RETAMAL, Felipe; LAREZ, Humberto y ARROYO-HERNANDEZ, Lucía. Impact of a Project-Based Learning Strategy Using Block-Based Programming and Python in Secondary School Students: A Case Study in Chile. Espacios [online]. 2026, vol.47, n.3, pp.136-145. Epub 15-Jun-2026. ISSN 2739-0071. https://doi.org/10.48082/espacios-a26v47n03i12.
The study analyzes high school students’ perceptions of Project-Based Learning (PBL) using block-based programming and Python through the micro: bit platform. A descriptive design was implemented with 31 students over ten sessions, applying a Likert-scale questionnaire and open-ended questions. Results show high levels of appreciation, motivation, development of computational thinking, collaborative work, and practical application. It is concluded that this strategy promotes meaningful learning, problem-solving skills, and the development of digital competencies in school contexts.
