Artificial intelligence (AI) has transformed university learning, generating ethical challenges related to authorship and originality. This quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional study analyzed the ethical perceptions of 249 university students regarding the use of AI in scientific productions. The results show a favorable perception of AI as an academic support tool, conditioned by adherence to ethical principles. Additionally, students demonstrate critical awareness of risks such as plagiarism, technological dependence, and the potential impact on critical thinking.
