The effect of sex and years of study on the conceptual dimension of physical education knowledge was analyzed in pre-service teachers at the Adventist University of Chile. Using a two-way ANOVA, a statistically significant main effect was found for year of study (p=0.009) and no significant effect for sex (p=0.170). Post-hoc tests showed a progression from the first year to the second and third, but no significant differences with the fourth year.
