This study characterizes the decision-making processes of secondary school students based on their graphical understanding of a socio-scientific problem, before and after a teaching experiment. Using a qualitative, descriptive-exploratory methodology, a questionnaire focused on levels of graphical understanding was administered. The results show a shift from responses based on personal perspectives to decisions justified by the contextual integration of data. It is concluded that the experiment promoted graphical understanding and informed decision-making.
