Resumen

KNABENSCHUH DE PORTA, Sabine. How to Read Wittgenstein? : The Place of the “Transitional Texts”. RF [online]. 2007, vol.25, n.56, pp.107-130. ISSN 0798-1171.

This essay seeks to persuade its reader to adopt a specific manner of approaching Wittgensteinian philosophy, overcoming in this way the bi-segmentation traditionally applied to it. What is suggested is a re-reading of Wittgenstein’s work, focussing on, and taking as a starting point, the texts which date from the period 1929-1933/35, in order to visualize the organic continuity of the thought in question. It is shown that only the epistemological message of those “transitional texts” reveals the gradual modification of the idea of contextuality, this being the sole approach towards epistemic-conceptual perspicuity, the professed goal of Wittgenstein himself.

Palabras clave : Perspicuity; contextuality; Wittgensteinian epistemology; continuity of Wittgensteinian philosophy.
