Since the Enlightenment, the reference to the protestant Reformation is an important trait of German philosophy, specially of German Idealism. Heidegger too joins this tradition, specially during his youth. The article analyzes the main aspects of Heidegger´s confrontation with the protestant Reformation, emphatizing as well his insertion in the German philosophy as his significance in the making of the heideggerian philosophy.
