ACOSTA, Yamandú. Vaz Ferreira’s radical thinking and the discernment of social problems. RF [online]. 2009, vol.27, n.62, pp.115-139. ISSN 0798-1171.

In this article relations between thinking and knowledge, philosophy and education are considered arguing about the probity of thinking of Vaz Ferreira, in which his “conflictual morality” officiates, in Roig’s terms, as an “emergency morality” with disruptive capacity on the “ethics of power”. “Dark Christs” are recovered in their subject condition of moral progress and history, alternate to others statements of subject in Philosophy of history. The priority of feeling above thinking as a condition of his “radical thinking” and his singular discernment of the social problems to the ones that considers “normatives” or “of making”, implies the “individualism” and “socialism” of the polarized tendencies, proposing a formula that in a non eclectic way transcends them, and that exhibits a critical-constructive validation and validity that makes Vaz Ferreira, nowadays, a present absence.

Palavras-chave : Conflictual morality; ethics of power; radical thinking; normatives problems; socialism.
