This paper proposes a constitutive model of damage in RC members subjected to shear and bending. The constitutive model is based on lumped damage theory and describes the behavior of RC members under monotonic lateral load. The RC members are represented by means of the assembly of a damageable beam subjected to damage due to shear and two inelastic hinges to bending at both ends. Validation of the proposed model is made by comparing correlation of numerical and experimental results on samples subjected to damage by bending and by shear under monotonic lateral load. The analytical results show very good agreement with experimental results.
