Abstract

TERAN, Oswaldo et al. A methodological framework to develop applications for industrial automation. Rev. Fac. Ing. UCV [online]. 2009, vol.24, n.1, pp.57-69. ISSN 0798-4065.

In this work, we present a methodological framework for the analysis and evaluation of technologies and methodologies for the development of applications in the area of Industrial Automation. This methodological framework is required in the final phase of a context oriented methodology to implement of a previous technological prospective proposal. The product of this phase is an implantation plan consisting of steps involving, among other things, the analysis and evaluation of technologies and methodologies that will support the development. Analysis and evaluation are based on the selection of a computational platform, the required application architecture and, the technologies and methodologies to achieve a successful and totally integrated system. In order to validate the methodological framework proposed, we use a SCADA system.

Keywords : Technological development; Technological prospective; Software engineering; Industrial automation; SCADA.
