Abstract

This paper describes an innovation experiment in the teaching - learning process through the application of Kaizen-type techniques of continuous improvement on activities in the degree course of Production Engineering at the Universidad Simón Bolívar, specifically the Production Management course. It describes the initiatives taken, the implications of this work style and its results. Emphasis is placed on academic and methodological issues that shape the experiment and additionally the increased complexity observed for the coordination of events and the key to overcoming the difficulties that arise in educational experiments of this type.
