RODRIGUEZ, AlejAndro; LOZANO, Carmen  and  OCHOA DE ERIBE, J. Ignacio. DEVELOPMENT AND ASSESSMENT OF COMPETENCES IN TECHNICAL SUBJECTS OF ENGINEERING STUDIES: AN APPROACH. Rev. Fac. Ing. UCV [online]. 2011, vol.26, n.1, pp.19-27. ISSN 0798-4065.

The present work deals with a learning-teaching methodology. It is based on developing competences included in engineering graduates studies. Then following objectives are proposed: define and develop the collection of specific competences; define and apply several modes of teaching and learning; provide an evaluation system able to prove them. A conclusion is worth to emphasize: Success to accomplish these objectives depends on human and material resources available in university centers. Besides, Depending on academic burden for lecturers, it can involve considerable increase in teaching activity.
