Resumen

Closed (exact) formulae for the stiffness matrices of 2D-elasticity boundary elements are obtained in this work. The formulae are simple and efficient, generating substantially savings of CPU time when comparing with numerical integration approaches. The formulae were obtained by symbolic manipulation of the integral equations and fundamental solutions, by using Computer Algebra Systems (CAS), followed by a post-processing of the generated expressions. The formulae are suitable to the evaluation of nearly-singular integrals (source point very close to the integration element) and to the evaluation of singular integrals (source point belongs to the integration element). An application example is discussed.
