ROMAN, Dimas; ENSALAZADO, Rubén e BURGUERA, Roberto. Design proposal and estimate of the initial investment of a processing plant organic - mineral fertilizer with the use of vermicompost. Rev. Fac. Ing. UCV [online]. 2013, vol.28, n.2, pp.117-122. ISSN 0798-4065.
In this paper we consider the problem of the disposal and storage of green waste in cities, coupled with poor agricultural practices of lignocelluloses biomass fresh added to the soil, which is immobilized by microorganisms that degrade it (Villalba, 2005). For this reason, the use of vermicomposting technology and phosphate rock as a supplier of phosphorus to the soil to obtain an organic-mineral fertilizer is suggested. To this aim, a conceptual engineering study along with a class IV estimate (i.e., with 20 to 25% error range permitted) of the initial investment in a processing plant organic - mineral fertilizer from vermicompost, was developed. The plant capacity will be able to produce 240 ton / year of organic-mineral fertilizers, by considering three main actions: initiation, development and flowering-fruiting. The formulas differ on the Sulpomag ® content in each of the products, once the vermicompost enriched with phosphate rock are obtained. The Conceptual engineering performed provides for the separation of the plant in three main sections: substrate preparation, reaction, separation and the packaging of products.
