Abstract

This paper presents an approach based on the Multicriteria Analysis (MCA) to help decision makers to evaluate and rank multiple engineering projects which are addressed to develop a country. Furthermore, the MCA allows raking projects through an aggregate “quality’ function that synthesizes different perspectives (financial, economical and social). Thus, the evaluation of several projects is handled by the PROMETHÉE methods (Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations), currently considered as the most appropriate approach because maximizes the use of multicriteria information related to the projects, and bases its results on the binary outranking relationships.
