In 2005 was enacted in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela , the Organic Law on Science , Technology and Innovation ( LOCTI acronym in spanish) with the aim of promoting scientific and technological development of the nation accompanied by large companies established in the country. From the year 2007 the first steps were by established players in the Law for the implementation of the input according to the Project of Science and Technology made by the various institutions accredited according to the guideline set forth. At present the Central University of Venezuela, the entity receiving funds, has completed a lot of projects proposed since the beginning of this implementation, presenting a favorable balance in terms of growth of infrastructure in this institution. The goal of this paper is to report actions and steps taken by the Central University of Venezuela to implement LOCTI and propose some corrective to improve result of this instrument as a greater impact on society.
