Resumen

KNABENSCHUH DE PORTA, Sabine. Wittgensteinian’s “phenomenology”: one replica to four interpretations. EPISTEME [online]. 2010, vol.30, n.1, pp.11-36. ISSN 0798-4324.

Wittgenstein repeatedly calls his own philosophy a “phenomenolo- gy”, but in other occasions categorically rejects such equivalence, and conside- ring that secondary literature shows four different interpretative approaches to proper (or allegedly?) Wittgensteinian’s “phenomenology”, this essay seeks to develop a critical appraisal of these four trends of interpretation, namely, Spiegelberg, Gier, Hintikka and Stern’s readings. Regarding each one, we will be pointing out both the exegetical strengths and weaknesses. The article leads to the discernment that none of the analyzed versions manages to get to the core of wittgenstein’s phenomenological concern; so that there remains an  important step to be done.

Palabras clave : Spiegelberg; Gier; Hintikka; Stern.
